Warriors 48, Milton 47
The Warriors' varsity team won their first game of the season on Thursday night, defeating Milton at home, 48-47. Brookline held a one point lead at halftime, but fell behind seven points in the second half before rallying for the victory.
The Warriors were paced by senior captain Rebecca Wicks' 23 points, while junior Kathryn Gillan converted a key three-point play late in the second half to give Brookline the lead for good. Senior point guard Ivana Limlengco contributed five points, all in the second half, and junior forward Stephanie DelVecchio pulled down double-digit rebounds while pouring in seven points.
The Warriors will next play on Thursday, December 28 at the Franklin High School Snowball Tournament at 7:30 PM.
